in writing. - I voted for Ms Keller’s report as it looks at the issue of asylum. She stresses the multidimensional nature of the problem and she focuses on an issue that is of vital importance for the smooth procedure of refugee integration, namely relocation. It is of utmost importance that the relocation mechanism becomes efficient and that the various Member States accept their obligations. Additionally we need to face the reality that the EU must be prepared for alternative routes and a potential failure of the deal with Turkey. For those reasons I supported the report.
