in writing. ‒ I have voted in favor of Mr. Paet's approach as it becomes more and more necessary for Europe to articulate a strong position when it comes to defence. We are experiencing very challenging times in a changing political environment. Europe should be able to respond to those challenges. However I need to stress the importance of cooperation with NATO so as to avoid duplication and to make sure that our resources are used in the most efficient way.
