In several Member States, sales of electric vehicles benefit from various types of support (e.g. purchase grants, favourable taxation, no excise duty on the energy used, etc.).
Has the Commission estimated the overall cost of supporting measures per electric car in the EU and the Member States? How much have taxpayers paid for the electric cars already in use, and what they will have to pay for those planned to come into use, as per the Commission’s supporting plans and measures?
Does the Commission have any data regarding the possible impact on the EU economy?
